Super Simple Calendar Ideas to help Organize your Life

Getting your life in order is a tricky process. It typically takes a few tries, and we make some progress when we critically think about our schedules and our goals, putting those things together to find something that works.

Everyone has their own way of organizing their lives, but one that ties most people together in their efforts is a calendar. We use calendars to make plans because there aren’t many better ways to do it.

We’re going to explore some calendar ideas in this article, giving you some food for thought on different ways to approach getting organized.

Let’s get started:

Calendar Ideas for Your Busy Life

The first thing for you to do before we start is to take a look at some different calendars. All calendars aren’t made equal, and there are some create digital options for you if you’re a person who stays organized on the computer.

On the other hand, working with a physical calendar can be useful because you can place them in places where you’ll constantly see them. This brings us to our first point:

Put It Somewhere You’ll See It

There’s some inherent value in simply writing things down. When we write something down, it draws it out of our heads and into reality in a way that sort of solidifies it.

That said, you can quickly write something down and forget about it just as quickly. So, when you draw up your calendar, make sure you put it in a place where you’ll look at it often.

Bedroom walls, bathroom mirrors, car dashboards, and office spaces are all great places. If you’re a digital-type person, make sure that your devices are set up to remind you of calendar dates, and even consider finding a way to keep your calendar at the forefront of your screen.

This way, you’ll write something down and have to look at it over and over again. The chances of you forgetting to diminish, and you’re more likely to internalize your schedule that way.

Additionally, people who write goals down on their calendars could benefit from repeatedly reading them. It’s kind of like having a vision board or trying to use intention to get your mind in order.

Simplify as Much as Possible

It’s important to find ways to be clear without saying too much. A calendar that draws on too loses some value.

Be concise and clear, but don’t write down details that you would absolutely remember. You should also try and write out your calendar as far out in advance as you’re able to.

This will help you from double-booking yourself or forgetting what you were trying to achieve a few weeks down the line. Finally, think about having two or more calendars that you place in important places throughout your life.

Consider having one in your bedroom, one in the car, one at work, and one on your phone. The more you infuse your life with your calendar, the more likely you are to actually follow it.
